Todd Tranausky is FTR’s vice president of rail and intermodal, joining the firm in January 2018. In that role, he oversees and participates in the firm’s forecasting and production of all its rail and intermodal products, including within the rail equipment space. He is integrally involved in the Rail Update and Intermodal monthly services as well as the quarterly Rail Equipment Outlook and annual deep dive Closer Look reports that examine the major car types that are the workhorses of the rail industry. He previously was Argus’ North American transportation editor, responsible for overseeing the quality of Argus’ existing transportation reports and leading the company’s new product development in this area.
A Philadelphia native and diehard Philadelphia sports fan, he graduated from Temple University with dual degrees in history and journalism, Todd has also worked as a sports reporter covering double-A baseball in New Jersey before joining Argus.
