Avery Vise

Avery Vise is vice president of trucking for FTR Transportation Intelligence, which specializes in forecasting and data analysis in freight transportation. He is FTR’s chief analyst for trucking-related market data and insights and is the principal author of the firm’s Trucking Update and Weekly Transportation Update publications as well as a host of FTR’s weekly Transportation Market Update podcast.

Avery has closely studied the transportation industry for more than 35 years as an editor, analyst, and researcher, including more than 23 years dedicated to the trucking industry. Prior to joining FTR in 2017, Avery served as chief editor of Commercial Carrier Journal for a decade before tenures as executive director of trucking research and analysis for Randall-Reilly and as principal of his own transportation consulting and market research practice.
